They could have the game running with more graphical fidelity like HDR and more detailed 3D models while using a lower resolution, or reduce graphic effects to get a full 4K rendering, or reduce resolution to get solid 60FPS and so on.

Nov 19, 2019 · As the Xbox One X is an audio source, it doesn't need to send or receive audio via ARC or eARC. Audio Return Channel is only for TV's that are supposed to "return" Audio back to an AV receiver or connected Soundbar. As the Xbox One X doesn't have speakers to play audio recieved through ARC, it won't support "ARC" or "eARC".

So, the X also has a 'performance' mode too to compete with that, however this is where things fall apart. The performance mode is terrible. It looks worse than the game running unpatched on Pro and the framerate is all over the place.

Feb 19, 2018 · I have a bit of a silly question: I know Series S doesn't get the One X visual enhancements for Xbox One BC games unless a Series S update is made for them or it has FPS boost, but if a game runs at say 1080p/30fps on One S, and 4K/60fps on One X, will the Series S do 1080p/30fps or 1080p/60fps?

Nov 13, 2017 · I have the same issue. Quantum Break does not detect the I have an Xbox One X and does not download the Quantum Break "Enhanced" update. I am only able to download the 83.70 GB version of the game VS the 102.5 GB version of the game available for the Xbox One X. Like you, I do not see the added menu video options to change the resolution.

Nov 12, 2024 · Will Microsoft ever give the user the power to turn of Enhanced / 4K on the Xbox One X as the downloads are BIG and some people don't have access to High Speed internet. Would be great to install a game, get the prompt "update available " and them say not now and still be able top play the game.

May 8, 2020 · Keep in mind the Smart Delivery feature, which will enable Xbox Live to send the best possible version of the game to Xbox Series X automatically. So that may be the Xbox One X Enhanced version, or (if the developer makes such an update possible) the Optimized for Xbox Series X version. Given the choice, I'd want the Optimized version.
