Yup, George Dickel No. 8 and No. 12 are similar (those are recipe names, not age statements). But they do make an 8-year-old bourbon now that is pretty damn good. My worst whiskey buy was Jim Beam Red Stag; I haven't drain-poured it (yet) but it certainly never crossed my lips again after the first taste.

Mar 23, 2020 · Yeah idk McGregor is a real doucher, but as an irish whiskey fan (red breast, green spot, even bushmills I like) I wanted to like it, it just tastes like a fermented hot pile of shit. Unfortunate, although I know they are probably selling plenty of it regardless.

I was 22, got a bottle for free, i didn't drink whiskey at the time, was big into beer. Mixed it with some soda, wife comes home and I'm trashed, rolling on the ground claiming I'm a roly-poly. Next morning, probably the worst hang over of my life. I refuse to accept any JW, even if it's free, except for blue, but even that is just okay.

I thought I’d be able to use it as a mixer if nothing else, but no. I only pour it now for people that don’t believe me when I tell them how bad it is.
