Jun 25, 2013 · Angle Eject is something Winchester came up with so you could mount a scope on the reciever. It kicks the empties not straight up, but up and to the right. I have a fairly late model 94 (in the 6 million serial number range) and roll marked on the barrel is Model 94AE.

Dec 9, 2009 · Brownell's SM-71 Side Mount Base $48.95, Natchez, MidSouth, Midland USA and lots of others carry SIDE mounts for the Winchester 94 unless you can get a gunsmith to mount a rail forward of the ejection port and you could then mount a scout style scope... Problem is the top ejection... Cabela's, Bass Pro, Gander Mtn. all have them as well...

You can easily identify the more modern design because it uses a coil hammer spring, a rebounding hammer/trigger, and the top rails of the reciever were drilled (2 holes) for a scope or peep/reciever mount.

Buy a small handloader, a case of primers and a keg of powder and you will shoot more than you would have ever shot before. Put a forward mounted 'scout scope' on one and you'll have your tack-tick-cool rifle.

Oct 24, 2023 · I picked up a winchester model 1894 30-30 made in 1964 that showed very little use on the internals. No rust except the checkered steel buttplate which had significant pitting and erosion. I just so happened to have a old 30-30 stock set. I noticed under both buttplates they had names cut with what appeared to be wood chisel. Block letters.

Apr 29, 2014 · Wild west guns makes a light mount that goes on the magazine tube for the marlins. I have no idea if it will fit a winchester. On my 1100 I have a flashlight zip tied on with 4 industrial strength zip ties. Tighten them down good with a pair of pliers and it isn't going anywhere. Not the little one.

Use a thin front sight, fiber optic ones can cover a 4 inch or more spot on your target. Marlin 336's can have the peep sight base installed while a scope is mounted.
