Jan 2, 2007 · Between Calcium, lithium, amd polyurea thickened grease, the calcium is the worst for bicycles. Marine bearing grease is thickened with calcium. Lithium is used in roller bearing applications. This is because roller bearings aren't as hard on the grease so it is not necessary to pay the extra price for polyurea.

My mith also uses white lithium grease from a can and it last much longer than any typical gun oil or grease that coss much more. Personally throughout the years I went crazy buying all sorts of gun lubes that all claim superior results compared to there competition.

Jan 8, 2010 · Not true. There's a reason why the specified grease contains a certain amount of moly. It doesnt make a damn bit of difference. Feb 25, 2010 · Aeroshell 33MS is just one brand of grease that meets the mil spec laid out in the TM. It just happens to be fairly cheap and you get a lot of it, so it tends to be the one that gets suggested. Now as far as the mil-spec grease vs. wheel bearing grease/bacon grease/spit/whatever arguments, I see it being very simple. It's your rifle.
