May 4, 2023 · The icons to switch dark mode on or off are disabled when you disable dark mode. In Outlook, go to File > Options. On the General page, look for Personalize your copy of Microsoft Office. Set the Office Theme to Black and select the check box next to Never change the message background color. Select OK.

Aug 31, 2019 · Since recent Windows 10 update my screen backgrounds have all turned black instead of usual white. Can't see how to change this in Personalisation/Settings even after changing background from 'dark' to 'light' - I'm so angry their stupid software took in upon itself to alter how I'd set the laptop up :-(. Any advice gratefully received!
