Nov 5, 2024 · If your notes are local, it would delete them if you delete the Notes app. Redownloaded the Notes app from the Apple Store; Opened the Notes app. No notes were there. Once the Notes app was opened, it prompted me to connect my iCloud account with a pop up that took me to Settings > Notes > Accounts > my iCloud account > iCloud.

Sep 12, 2023 · Long story short I reset my phone 3 times until I realized if I moved quick enough I could do edit, select all notes and move them to my iCloud. They are still there! I hope this helps someone. None of the other options helped me. BTW my notes were connected to my gmail account and they were not in the notes folder in Gmail or in the trash.

I saw another post where a user mentioned that Notes doesn't handle HTML well at hall. When I imported a bunch of Evernote notes that were web page captures, I think that was an issue as well.
