Mar 17, 2020 · On closer inspection, I realized there was a very, very tiny shutter with red film over the lens. I could slide the tiny shutter by a tinier notch above it. Doing so fixed the problem and built in webcam then worked great.

The old webcam came on (red light) when accessing Zoom - and still does when I reconnect it into the USB. But the new one's red light shows whenever PC is switched on. Is there a Windows setting so the new webcam red light performs like the old one? Many thanks.
