Feb 11, 2024 · Would like to buy any of the FM series of Nikon Film cameras in mint (collector) condition for a fair (didn't say rock bottom) price. Black or chrome as long as it's mint. Would also buy a 35 or 50mm AI-S lens (manual focus, no AF) with it. The more complete the better (box, manuals, etc). Preference would be the later models (FM2N or FM3A).

Nov 7, 2024 · This is an important camera for Nikon as it's the entry point for many people into the Nikon ecosystem. Looks like a solid upgrade while keeping a similar price point. I do wish Nikon would make us something such as a d70 with IBIS, 30-40mp sensor, and controllers similar to the z8. Basically a true d7000 / d500 replacement.

It's an interesting design in that it (supposedly) allows secure portrait orientation of the body on an Arca clamp while avoiding interference with port access or the wretched flippy screen.
