Oct 3, 2013 · Not sure how the series ran but there was a 268, 269 and 270 hayliner series and it was followed by the series with the 273 in it, possibly with the 275 and 276. I had a 273 and it was a real sweet baler. They still sell for over 1k with paint. Paint doesn't bale, if fact you have to wear paint off a new baler for it to bale right.

Jun 29, 2015 · I have a NH 270 serial # 15511. Currently using sisal twine and would like to know if anyone has switched over to plastic/poly twine. I have been looking and cannot find much info on switching over and if any parts ie. bill hooks need to be swapped as well. Its an old baler but still running strong. Any help would be appreciated. Normally bale 500 to a thousand Bales a year with it. This year I replaced the main and knotter drive chains.

Aug 25, 2017 · The higher number NH baler model does and doesn't necessarily mean higher capacity. A 273 is no higher capacity than a 268, whereas a 276 is higher capacity than your 311. Look for strokes per minute vs model number. Common numbers are 65 spi, like my model 68, 79 spi like a 316 or 93 spi like the 570/575 models.

Dec 23, 2016 · IMHO - you have a very nice baler and the 276 was/is one of the best balers New Holland made. It is a 16 x 18 baler vs a typical 14 x 18 baler. IMHO it is a higher capacity baler, more so than a 273 type baler. With a credit card, you can download a PDF manuals from New Holland's website.
