Dec 19, 2022 · I have a ton of car wash experience as I ran the world's largest car wash group (1,000) units globally. I would say the answer depends on the car wash equipment. Most newer express car wash tunnels that are dialed in correctly will not leave soap residue on your soft top. Most will scratch the windows though.

May 5, 2024 · Car wash soaps are designed to be biodegradable, PH balanced, and depending on the brand, contain wax or other additives that can all affect how much the soap will lather or bubble. I’d make sure you are using the correct ratio of soap to water, buy a foam cannon, and if you have hard water, use a deionizer.

And I look at buying the most expensive model (Rubicon) with almost every option as being similar to going out and buying a new Porsche 911.

It takes about the same amount of time as driving to the car wash, washing, and coming back (about an hour give or take) but is MUCH kinder to the paint, MUCH easier than washing with a hose, and protects the paint with every wash.

May 22, 2020 · I have been looking at options but hard to decide on which is best. The main three would be powder coating, rattle-can spray paint, and rattle can bed liner. I have heard powder coating may look the best but can be a bit tricky to touch up if/when it gets chipped as well as being the most expensive.
