When livestock or poultry are slaughtered and processed by a Minnesota custom exempt processor, those products must be returned directly to the owner of the animal. The meat or poultry products will be labeled “NOT FOR SALE” by the processor. Custom exempt processed products may not be sold or donated after processing.
