Jul 4, 2020 · The main things that the SV2 has going for it in the price range is the action and the interface. It’s got a much more “piano-like” feel than the Nord Electro which is designed more for organ. I would consider looking for a used SV-1 as it’s got almost the exact same features and is a lot cheaper. The Nord Grandstage is also really nice.

Apr 1, 2021 · Has anyone upgraded from the Korg SV-1 to the SV-2? When the SV-2 released, it was too expensive to justify upgrading my SV-1. My SV-1 has treated me very well and continues to do so. About 9 months ago my SV-1 started outputting the right channel at about -24db (possibly more as time has gone on.)
