TL;DR: I spent 6 months and over $1,800 modifying my Gen 5 Glock 19 with well-reviewed quality components, only to end up switching 8 out of 10 parts back to stock. My advice: shoot 1000 rounds meaningfully through your stock Glock, then decide what mods/upgrades to do based on your experience.
