The Fiberfrax Durablanket product group stands for needled lightweight mats made of ceramic Fiberfrax fibers and effective solutions for a wide range of thermal insulation applications. Fiberfrax Durablanket products are characterized by excellent insulating properties, high resistance to chemicals, elasticity and dimensional stability.
Fiberfrax® 8000 Series fibers are special insulation fiber manufactured from high purity alumina, zircon sand and silica materials for use in applications up to 1430°C.
Fiberfrax fibers exhibit excellent chemical stability and resistance to attack from most corrosive agents.Exceptions include hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid and strong alkalis. Fiberfrax fibers also effectively resist oxidation and reduction.

Fiberfrax® Duraboard® products are a family of rigid, high temperature ceramic fiber boards manufactured in a wet forming process using Fiberfrax alumina-silica fibers and binders. All Duraboard products offer low thermal conductivity, high temperature stability, uniform density, and excellent resistance to thermal shock and chemical attack.
The Fiberfrax® Specialties family of products includes Fiberfrax moldables, pumpables, caulks, coating cements, rigidizers, tamping mix, and Moist-PackTM blanket. Many of these products contain a wet, inorganic binder to provide both strength and hardness at elevated temperatures.
Primary Use: Refractory Ceramic Fiber (RCF) materials are used primarily in industrial high temperature insulating applications. Examples include heat shields, heat containment, gaskets, expansion joints, industrial furnaces, ovens, kilns, boilers and other process equipment at applications up to 1400°C.
