Aug 17, 2009 · A Large tree limb fell into the roof denting it an putting a large hole in it ..also bent the support beams. I need to peel the old roof off and replace it. It is sealed with rubberized caulking and rivets. What and where do I get new roof material (cant really tell exactly what its made of), I have no trailer repair places around me and Lark ...

Apr 25, 2020 · I like to completely understand what I'm getting into before I start, so I'm asking for some help/guidance to repair or replace this roof. It's a 16x7 cargo trailer with typical metal sheet roof. I do not have any current leaks. I'm assuming this is a fairly straightforward, but tedious, job (please correct me if I'm wrong).

Nov 24, 2014 · Are we talking about the transition from wall to roof, probably in the front, or something else? (I'm guessing the former.) If we're talking smallish damage, meaning :cracks (large or small), and you have most of the big pieces of the transition, you can fix it yourself by patching with glass cloth and epoxy.

Oct 18, 2024 · I'm looking for advice on re-sealing my enclosed trailer roof. It's the un-finished / flat style that I've typically seen w/ the v-nose. I've noticed the sun has baked off some of the old rubberized coating and want to stop any leaks before they start.

Jun 1, 2020 · I have used Krown on my truck since new (7 years), no rust on metal parts, but things like the windshield wiper spray hose has relaxed and come off the nipple. I just reinstalled and zip tied it. Also the rubber door gaskets have relaxed and fallen a bit but they are still usable. For a trailer these should work very well imo.
how many of you guys sleep in your ENCLOSED TRAILER?
Apr 27, 2010 · i got a 5x10 enclosed trailer with roof vent and im thinking of sleeping in it during trackdays to save money on hotels (which ive been doing in the past). i finally got a real quiet generator and even added a small TV in my trailer for entertainment. also got a fan for hot summer nights and space heater for colder nights.

Jan 15, 2011 · I dont think you'll get enough "R" value with the spray in plus the blue board stuff is cheap. On the roof you can use that foil bubble wrap (facing roof) over the blueboard then some luan or white board. Should be good for 11+ r value.

Pre-wire for the A/C unit and brace the roof 3. Insulate the roof and sides of the trailer 4. Shop around for the best deal on the A/C unit and install.

Jun 23, 2019 · Never go smaller than that unless you absolutely have to because you have a matchbox car for a tow rig or whatever. But like he said, the extra 1.5 feet of width is very, very welcome when you're inside it in comparison to a 8.5x20 trailer or whatnot. A raptor would pull a 7x16 loaded to the roof all day long without trouble.
