I've always been a fan of Japanese box covers for Souls games
The Dark Souls 3 covers shown here are the Fire Fades Edition's covers. It may be different for the normal Japanese version. Although I couldn't find any such thing so it's probably the same with the western cover.

May 18, 2022 · If you Google "who is the dark souls cover art" a reddit post will show up and in my opinion gives an extremely Terrible theory, that being it's a random player character with the black knight GS and holding the crest shield. It just does not line up. So I decided to make this to revive the discussion.

My mom. Chosen undead that’s who no name needed that’s you the player on the cover. I thought it was supposed to be Artorias before he entered the abyss. An employee who worked on the concept art of the game said this was supposedly Artorias diving into the abyss, before his design was grounded for the DLC.

Dec 19, 2018 · Older Final Fantasy games (7-13:2) had great covers too. NakeyJakey had a great video called the "Death of Video Game Box Art". Alternatively you can Google 'Yoji Shinkawa 新川洋司'. He's the guy who drew most of the Japanese MGS cover art. As a Japanese I have to agree that the Japanese version is much better haha.

May 6, 2022 · Depends on which cover you're talking about. Original is Faraam armor with a Longsword, but I'm guessing you're talking about Scholar which is Forlorn armor and sword. armor is faraam armor, idk the wep. What weapon is the guy holding on the cover of the game?

Jan 15, 2020 · the clouds in the top right look flat. probably missing some value gradients that would make them look more 3d. studying charcoal drawings of clouds would help. the background mountains are too round. looks more like desert dunes than mountains. This looks like a professional promotional art for the game or something.
