This is the same gun (not the gun), built to Chris’s specifications that he used in Iraq to get a confirmed kill at 2,100 yards (1.2 miles). It is a Remington 700 XCR Tactical 338 Lapua.

Feb 17, 2008 · As for savage, they only make one rifle that I saw for target in .284 and it was about 1200.00. It seems .284 has bullets definately well suited to 1000 yards and competition. I did notice when comparing the .308 155 gr lapau scenar round to the .284 168 grain, the .284 required about 94 clicks and the .308 required 108 clicks to get to 1000 yards.

Aug 27, 2008 · I got my new toy last night. Sako TRG 22 in .308. Glass is a Nightforce NXS 5.5 - 22x56. Shooting FGMM 168. I was so excited to shoot the rifle, by the time I arrived at my local range, I had 30 min to get on the paper and try the stick out.

The 155gr bullet matches here are generally Palma matches Rules and Tips for Palma Rifle Shooting in the USA. We also have something called Across the Course (NRA High Power) which is multi-distance and position.
