Latch & Unlatch Patio Screen Door from both sides
May 7, 2013 · For anyone that has issues with animal scratching at the screen of the patio door, I bought an acrylic piece at HD and cut it to size. The thinnest piece was 0.093 inch. It fits perfect in the channel on the inside of the screen door frame. Used double sided adhesive tape to secure it. Been attached for about 6 weeks now and holding strong.

We had one window/door company look at it, but they could not get the seals. Will keep looking! Second problem, is that snow sometimes blows into the space between the screen door and the sliding door.

Can you hang a screen door on the outside of the frame?
May 2, 2015 · I was given an awesome vintage screen door but it's about 2-3 inches too wide and about 2 inches too tall to fit inside the door frame. Can this be hung on the outside of the door frame so we don't have to cut it down? I was thinking of using it with a spring to slam it like we had as a kid. If so, what type of hinges would we use?

Having the hinge side of the door on the side opposite the shower controls allows for turning on the shower without having to go inside the shower.

May 31, 2017 · Sliding screen door was working fine. Now it wont hardly move without using two hands. I'm guessing its a broken roller. My problem is I backed the end screws at the bottom of the door out as far as they will go and it still wont come out. the frame still needs at least a 1/4 inch to clear the track. What can I do other then ruin the door.

I measured the top, bottom and middle and for width from frame to frame, the measurement was consistent at around 72 1/4. But when I measured from floor to top of door frame, I got 81 1/2 (plus 3/4 inch thick hardwood floor) for a total door height of 82 1/4.

May 31, 2017 · There isn't a notch or cut out to easily remove the window...it just slides up and down. I can't find any other pieces or springs that require pressing in or slide out to make the room... the screen needs about 1/4 inch to clear these plastic pieces on the top of the sliding glass when fully dropped. Any help would be appreciated. hedsup
