Jan 2, 2025 · Liking the control layout and the neck, but still getting used to the pickups. They’re a bit dark for my taste and have a tendency to get muddy with the profiles I like for my other PRS (with 58/15LT, 85/15, \m/, Santana). I’m also experimenting with using the volume knobs to clean things up which these pickups do really well.

Dec 31, 2024 · You have already found the correct value for it. it is pretty easy to do if you know how to solder. You will see some treble bleed circuits use a resistor in parallel. This is needed if the capacitor messes up the taper on the volume when you put it in. I have put a bunch of the 180pf caps in guitars and it usually doesn't mess with the taper much.

May 1, 2012 · Here’s what PRS shared with me: “Serial# 0323753 is a 2021 Wood Library DGT, with a Flame Maple 10-top, Mahogany neck with a Grissom profile, Ebony fretboard with bird inlays, gen 3 tremolo bridge, DGT treble and bass pickups, finished in a Custom Color, with hybrid hardware. We do not have specific color information for custom colors.”

Jan 16, 2024 · It's an otherwise relatively normal 594 guitar from 2021... the kind that all had 58/15 LT pickups in 'em. The simplest explanation is usually the correct one--it's a typo. (It's also the exact kind of typo that explains why it was a terrible idea to have two vastly different pickups called "58/15" and "85/15" at the same time.

I emailed and asked about the difference in sound. “Thank you for writing PRS Guitars. The new Special SH will have a nitro finish and the pickup and not the MT, they are the LT with the TCI style wiring.
