The Capitol Visitor Center welcomes visitors from across the United States and around the world. All tours, programs and activities are free of charge. Visitors enter the Capitol Visitor Center, which is located underground on the east side of the Capitol.

The Capitol Visitor Center is open Monday-Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. All tours are led by our professional tour guides and visit the Crypt , the Rotunda and National Statuary Hall . The tour route is subject to change.

The Visitor Center is the newest addition to the historic Capitol complex and provides an increased focus on visitor comfort, safety and security. At nearly 580,000 square feet, the Visitor Center is the largest project in the Capitol's more than two-century history and is approximately three-quarters the size of the Capitol itself.

Hours - The Capitol Visitor Center is open to visitors with tour reservations from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day and on Inauguration Day.
