If that was the case, Luffy would've just called it "Gear 4th, tankman" or "Gear 4th, stuffed version". In that logic, a hypothetical Gear 4th Snaknan/Boundman stuffed version would be the same form as Gear 4th Tankman stuffed version, i.e. the stuffed version of gear 4th overall, which doesn't make sense imo.

Feb 13, 2018 · 4 - Awakening is too big a deal for it to be incorporated into existing moves without becoming something totally separate. Imagine if Luffy called gear 3rd "gear 2nd: big mode" or some other stupid shit. It doesn't work at all. The gear theme is consistent and distinct.

Secondly, Tankman is the form that most of all resemble that of a rikishi/sumo fighter, with its huge mass and big belly. We saw Rufy G4 Tankman against Cracker, but that was his STUFFED mode. I expect to see a much leaner form of Tankman against Kaido.
Luffy's Gear 4 Snake-Man is his best fighting form atm.

Bounce man and tank man could be argued as the strength forms of Gear 4 and Snake-man is the speed form of Gear 4. However, in terms of fighting ability, snake-man is far better as a fighter over the other two. Because simply speed > strength.
