Mar 3, 2024 · I have been having issues with the EA app not launching on my PC for a while now, it will not launch whatsoever. No error, no attempt to launch nothing happens when I try to launch it. What I have tried: -Restarting laptop and launching it with no other programs open -Uninstalling, but it won’t uninstall either.

Feb 10, 2023 · It didn't work at first when I opened it but when I redownloaded origin and it prompted me with the EA app download this time it prompted me to just open the app and now its working for me. It's great how I have to be searching through pages of forums to find a fix to an issue that has been around for years and EA provide basically no support.
NFS HEAT FrostyModManager EA APP, mods not working
Feb 14, 2023 · Here's what you will need so NFS Heat mods can work with Frosty Mod Manager or Frosty Mod Editor with EA Desktop. This only works for EA Desktop and Steam. It doesn't work for Xbox game pass you will need to buy the game on EA Desktop or Steam. Note: Do not delete LaunchPlatformPlugin.dll.

Jul 25, 2023 · Close the EA app Go to Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete, select Task Manager) Find "EABackgroundService" and End Task (Right click on it -> End Task) EA app and DAI should be able to launch again. Now I've just got Frosty to fix again lol. Edit3: I fixed Frosty (well, actually it was the bloody EA App all along) and my game seems fully-functional!

Feb 20, 2023 · Also, if you use Steam, if you try to launch an EA game after doing this and it asks you if it can make changes on your computer, say no, because it wants to install the EA app again. If you say no, it will load the game using the old Origin version you downloaded.

Apr 28, 2023 · Having the same issues myself. It used to work, but I haven't installed any of the ea games in a while and now it's not working. It does update the EA app when you refresh libraries but it doesn't add the games

Dec 7, 2022 · Just in case, the path to it will probably look like something similar to this: C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. There you look for the file "TS3.exe". If you have Sims 3 version 1.69.
Frosty Mods not working with Steam and that new EA App?
Jan 2, 2023 · I'm playing Unbound on EA App via the Steam client to be able to use ps5 controller. If i set the nfsunbound.exe to run as admin from file properties i can run the game with frosty and datapathfix but the ea desktop app relaunches, and steam doesn't get to load so no more controller. If i run without admin on file the mod doesnt load at all.

Nov 28, 2022 · So I got a new PC and not Origin is no longer available, it has been replaced by the EA App. I installed C&C Generals Zero Hour and then installed the "Rise of the Reds mod". The installation goes smoothly. Now I have a Rise of the Reds icon which opens the launcher.
