Sep 14, 2022 · Mountain Dew is essentially lemon-lime syrup mixed with a bit of orange juice (it was originally made to be mixed with moonshine/whiskey). You could try to make it at home. Or if you really like Mountain Dew, just look for a 2.5 gallon Bag-in-Box of the real commercial syrup.

So far I haven't found anything that really compares to dew. I got my flavoring at $5/bottle on sale (Target currently is $7/bottle but also has a "buy 3 get 1 free" sale), which comes out to $1.10 per 2 liters made. That's better than the best sale on diet Dew I've seen in recent years and VASTLY better than the non-sale $3 for 2-liter bottles.

If your concern is sugar, almost all soda in Thailand use crappy artificial sweeteners. They do not use sugar or high fructose corn syrup. I don't think I've ever seen Mountain Dew in Thailand. It would be crazy expensive due to the sugar tax and they wouldn't import diet, likely not a lot of interest. No issues brining it in for personal use.

Jun 30, 2024 · The Mountain Dew Zero is pretty disappointing to me. Using the same ratio of syrup to water that I do for the Pepsi Zero results in a very harsh tasting beverage. I'm trying to figure out a ratio that works better. The availability of actual diet mountain dew syrup is one of the main reasons I replaced my dead SodaStream.

Jan 23, 2022 · "Mermaid" tastes like diet coconut water. I have no idea how anyone could mistake this for Mountain Dew Baja Blast. I added some lemon juice for tang but lemon juice on its own is much better. For $10, the syrup was an expensive waste. Blech

Jul 16, 2020 · However, recently several locations around me seem like their Diet Dews are watered down. I ask if their syrup needs to be replaced but they always assure me that it's working fine. I've tried Baja Blast one time since my go-to regular Diet Mountain Dew is watered down but had the same issue. Three different locations I've tried so far.
