Aug 29, 2010 · A 32" 4k monitor still offers a ~30% pixel density increase over my 27" 1440p display, despite sizing up. 130PPI already begs for scaling, at 160PPI you will have problems even navigating to the scaling settings to enable it to begin with.

Sep 13, 2020 · For office work either of them is fine and 4k at 32" is sharp enough. 27" while nice at 4k has limited workspace compared to 32". If gaming is a priority I actually would get the IPS, VA screens tend to smear badly in dark scenes (I have the LG UD3259-B and is super smeary even visible while browsing the web).
What's the point of 4k if you scale up the size of things?
Apr 5, 2006 · 32" 4k is 138 PPI 24" 1440p is 122 PPI My current monitor is a single 1600x1200 21" Dell FP2007 (95 DPI). I had a second monitor but it's so ancient that my new build's video card doesn't have a jack for it and I wanted to upgrade my monitor anyways, it's an aged 1440x900 from like 11 years ago. I don't think it's even worth getting an adapter.

Oct 6, 2009 · If I get a 27" 4K, the PPI will be 163, so text (on a good IPS screen anyway) should be super sharp at native resolution. Possible downside is having to increase the Windows scaling up to perhaps 150% ? And 1080p movies may not map properly on a 1440p screen? (not sure). If I get a 32" 4k, the PPI will be 137, and text will still be fairly sharp.

Dec 16, 2006 · For owners of 32" 4K screens do you NEED to use scaling for a comfortable experience or is the text size readable without it. I am coming from a 30" 2560 X 1600 monitor and I did not have to use any scaling at all till today. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Jan 12, 2024 · I wouldn't want a larger screen viewed at 52 PPD personally, where the pixel sizes would look more like a ~1500p desktop-sized monitor's pixel sizes. 42" 4k screen at 24" view distance, 75 deg angle = 52 PPD 27" screen 2688 x 1512 rez at 24" view distance = 52 PPD 32" 4k screen at 24" view distance, 60 deg viewing angle = 64 PPD

Aug 3, 2019 · I have just installed a Viewsonic 32" 4K monitor, as old age is starting to show in spite of my glasses, and as you imagine fonts sizes got smaller. So I went into Display Settings, where you are allowed to increase text size up to 150. That works very well for the monitor resolution I was using, which was 1920 x 1080.

Aug 25, 2010 · Budget is around $1,000. Want to stick with MiniLED for now instead of OLED. Also, it should be high refresh rate (144 Hz+) and G-SYNC compatible. Should be bright enough for good HDR performance. Lastly, would prefer if it is NOT curved.
38" UW-QHD+ (3840 x 1600) vs 32" 4K? Which would you choose?
Apr 14, 2010 · The 4k on the other hand can also scale down to 1080p for demanding games where SLI/Crossfire fails. If the prices were similiar I would go 38" but with current 4k monitor like tvs being much cheaper I chose 4k. The best of both worlds would be to have both to cover all situations but as a more general purpose tool the nod goes to large format 4k.

Jun 20, 2023 · I use a 43" 4k VA on either side of the 48" CX so it's a 3x 4k setup and I have no issues. The PC is using the nvidia gpu to the 48cx as the sound device as if it was a sound card. I still get all of the sound from the apps on my other older hdmi 2.0 displays in that multi monitor spanned desktop setup obviously.
