Manchester United earned a draw away from home against Real Sociedad in the Europa League last-16. Joshua Zirkzee’s fine second-half finish was cancelled out by Mikel Oyarzabal’s penalty after Bruno Fernandes was judged to have handled the ball in the area from a corner kick.

Manchester United's season is on the line as they head to Spain to face Real Sociedad kicking off the round of 16 of the Europa League. After being knocked out of the FA Cup, winning this competition will be United's only chance at European soccer next season but also their form hasn't shown that they'll be able to turn things around to actually win Europa League.

There were few chances for either side in a scrappy opening period, Andre Onana ending the half without having to make a single save. United’s best moment was a brief flurry of chances in the 37th minute when first Bruno Fernandes and then Joshua Zirkzee (twice) came close to giving Ruben Amorim’s side the lead.
