Blood dripped from our hero's wounds and from the images in the title sequence, depicted against a haunting piano melody. The word "gritty" was run into the ground for good reason, and I had that damn theme music on a loop.

Unfortunately, the timeline nerds out there will know that doesn't quite map onto the Marvel timeline as neatly as you might hope for, given that it's largely thought that the Daredevil series took place from 2014-2017 and Born Again stretches up to 2027, a decade later.

The official trailer for "Daredevil: Born Again," released in January, centers around a tense conversation between Cox's Murdock and D'Onofrio's Fisk in a New York City diner -- intercut with bloody, bone-breaking action, of course.
