Steven Gary Koon, 63, of Leelanau County was charged with open murder in Grand Traverse County on Wednesday. The news comes some 36 years after the body of Linda Marie Meteer of the Traverse City area was found in Hoosier Valley in April of 1989.

Leads in the murder of Maritza Glean Grimmett have unfolded over the last few years, whereas for 40 years, she was only referred to as Jane Doe.

Investigators in Orange County are asking the public for help Thursday in their search for leads after uncovering new information in connection with a cold case murder from 1983. Chip Yost reports for KTLA 5 News on Feb 20,

The weather service said highs in north Alabama will stay in the upper 20s. Central Alabama will have highs that will range from the low 30s in the north to the low 40s in the south. And south Alabama will have highs in the low to mid-40s.
