Police are investigating racist graffiti found at a Worcester, Massachusetts, school, school officials confirmed in a letter to families. School officials said graffiti containing a racial slur was discovered painted on the back of the Worcester Dual Language Magnet School on Chandler Street Sunday.

The school was recently named the Worcester Dual Language Magnet School, following the merger of the Chandler Magnet School and the La Familia Dual Language School, which took place at the start of the last school year. According to statistics from the state, approximately 87% of the school's students identify as non-white, and around 5% are Black.
