Shortstop Steven Milam lined a two-run double in the bottom of the eighth inning Tuesday night to break a 9-9 tie and lift top-ranked LSU to an 11-9 win over North Dakota State in Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: LSU will likely start freshman right-hander William Schmidt after he started a midweek game last Monday against Nicholls State. North Dakota State is still searching for its second win after it led until the sixth inning on Tuesday.

Baton Rouge, La. – LSU Baseball defeated North Dakota State Wednesday night at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field. LSU moves to 13-3 overall, while North Dakota State moves to 1-11 overall.

In possibly the most unsurprising turn of events, LSU had an answer for the Bison in the bottom of the frame. With the top of the order due up, Derek Curiel drew a walk, and a couple batters later, Daniel Dickinson laced his fourth home run of the season over the left field wall to draw back within two runs of the Bison.

LSU's Tuesday meeting with North Dakota State would not have the same fate. LSU trailed for most of this game but the Tigers took their first lead in the bottom of the eighth inning and then slammed the door on North Dakota State to win 11-9.
