As for Samsung's smartwatches, everything's a squircle now. Mimicking last year's Galaxy Watch Ultra, the Galaxy Watch8 series keeps the circular display but stuffs it into a squircle case, a weird Franken-watch design language that might have you asking, “What happened?” (Samsung calls this its “Cushion” design, which is a choice.)

Samsung introduced several updates to its foldable devices lineup on Wednesday, with the new Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and the new Z Flip 7 FE taking stage at the latest Unpacked event.

The Z Flip 7 FE is the first foldable that Samsung has introduced in its “Fan Edition” line, which provides budget-friendly alternatives to the company’s flagship Galaxy phones. At $899, it’s not quite affordable enough to compete with Motorola’s Razr, which starts at $699, but it’s a lot cheaper than the standard $1,099 Z Flip 7 model.
