DeSantis confirmed Florida’s commitment to support future missions for SpaceX’s Starship spacecraft and Super Heavy rocket.
The next launch attempt for Starship, which has yet to reach orbit on any of its flights, is now targeted for 6:30 p.m. EST Wednesday, SpaceX said.
Starship, the most powerful rocket ever built, was set to lift off during a one-hour window that opened at 5:30 p.m. CT.
Update for 7 pm ET: SpaceX called off the launch of Starship Flight 8 due to last-minute glitches on the Booster and Ship vehicles. The company is expected to release a new launch date target soon.
Starship could launch around 6:30 p.m. EST Monday from Starbase in South Texas, according to SpaceX, which will livestream the flight test.
