The state has recorded 14 confirmed meteorites, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Stark County isn't home to any of them, but there was one found in Wayne County, near Wooster.
On Wednesday night (Jan. 3) starting around 7:50 p.m., be on the lookout throughout Ohio for the Quadrantid meteor shower just below the big dipper constellation, according to EarthSky.org.
