The counting of votes for bypolls in 46 Assembly seats across 13 states and two Lok Sabha constituencies has begun. Times Now has reported, that BJP has gained a lead in 7 seats. Early trends show Priyanka Gandhi leading in her electoral debut.

Bypolls were also held for Lok Sabha seats - Wayanad and Nanded. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi is contesting from Wayanad, which Rahul Gandhi had won by a big margin in June.
