After a challenging three weeks of adverse conditions, snow began falling on Ben Lomond Alpine Resort. However, the fall was not enough to reopen the resort’s ski lifts for 2023.

It is forecast to be -3C on Sunday on Mt Wellington and -4C on Monday. Charlotte Wright, marketing and communications manager at Ben Lomond Alpine Resort said there was plenty of snow at Ben Lomond.

Ms Wright said the Ben Lomond Base would open at 8.15 ready to provide visitors with all they needed for a day on the mountain from snow chains to rental clothing, ski gear and parks passes.
