"I wanted to give our administration plenty of time to get their ducks in a row and get organized," Pingeton said of early resignation.

But there was still a little time to remember what was. After the coach’s last hurrah on the home court she has patrolled for a decade-and-a-half, family members and former players and her full current squad gathered on Mizzou Arena’s court as the farewell loomed.
