This time the auction will be held at the Abady Al Johar Arena in the city of Jeddah, in Saudi Arabia. A whopping over 1,500 players have registered themselves for the auction and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has added an additional 574 players to the list.

This is the second time in history that an IPL auction is being held outside India. A combined 46 players have been retained by the 10 IPL teams. Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals have kept the maximum number – six players each,
