Immigration enforcement in New York City and around the country spurred a second night of protests in Lower Manhattan on Wednesday. Protesters blocked streets and clashed with police. CBS News New York's Ali Bauman spoke to the deputy mayor for public safety about the NYPD's handling of these demonstrations.

Another protest against ICE was held in Lower Manhattan Wednesday evening. This time, a peaceful demonstration was held in Foley Square with a smaller crowd compared to the thousands that gathered Tuesday night.

Protesters railing against ICE raids took over the lobby of Manhattan’s Trump Tower Monday, with police making at least 24 arrests as Mayor Adams warned that any demonstrations similar to
