Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal announced a new poll promise on Saturday — this time for the tenants living in Delhi. He said the tenants will get free water and electricity if the AAP wins the Delhi Assembly Election 2025.

AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday announced that his party would take decisive steps to extend the benefits of free electricity and water to tenants if re-elected to power. Addressing a press conference here, he highlighted concerns raised by tenants across Delhi.

Kejriwal assured that, if his party wins, tenants — many of whom belong to the Purvanchal region — will also be able to access the free utilities.

AAP promises free electricity and water for tenants in Delhi if re-elected, focusing on welfare initiatives for upcoming elections.

Delhi Police clarified that it can neither grant nor reject such permission at this time as all permissions for political activities are granted through a single window system in the concerned DEO office.

The announcement comes as the Aam Aadmi Party ramps up its campaign for the Delhi assembly elections slated for February 5. The results are to be declared on February 8.
