ALVARADO, Texas — New videos obtained by WFAA show the frantic police response after an Alvarado Police officer was shot in the neck in an attack prosecutors describe as a coordinated ambush outside an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention center on the Fourth of July.

Nancy Larson, the acting U.S. Attorney, said the planned ambush was not a peaceful protest but was designed to draw ICE personnel outside the facility.
The suspect, a former U.S. Marine Corps reservist, is accused of joining 11 others in an organized attack against officers at the Prairieland Detention Center.
