Pop-Tarts Bowl took the internet by storm when its mascot descended into a giant toaster on the field and was eaten by the winning team

According to the Pop-Tart Bowl website, the game continued to be successful after moving to Orlando in 2001, with several different title sponsors throughout the years. In 2023, Pop-Tarts signed a multi-year agreement with Florida Citrus Sports to become the new title sponsor of the game.

The Hurricanes, No. 13 in the College Football Playoff rankings and No. 15 in the AP top 25 poll, will play No. 18 Iowa State in the Pop-Tarts Bowl. Kickoff from Orlando’s Camping World Stadium is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 28.
