XI Racing is expanding its NASCAR Cup Series program by fielding a part-time third car for rising star Corey Heim.
NASCAR owns all car numbers and licenses them each year to team owners. Teams can ask for specific numbers, and NASCAR usually works with teams and sponsors to help fulfill these requests.
