Kirillov, who has been killed in Moscow, was accused by the West of overseeing the use of chemical weapons on the battlefield in Ukraine.

Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov was the chief of Russia’s Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection troops and a senior member of the Kremlin. He was killed, along with his assistant, via a remotely detonated bomb planted in an electric scooter outside an apartment building around seven kilometres from the Kremlin.
