FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers set to close Nov. 23
FEMA disaster recovery centers close today
The remaining centers in Hinesburg and Lyndon will permanently close at 6:00 p.m. tonight. They were opened to support Vermonters impacted by this summer’s storms. The deadline to apply for disaster assistance is Monday. Vermonters affected by both July storms must submit separate applications for each.
FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers set to close November 23
Both remaining Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC) in Vermont are set to close for good at 6 p.m. on Saturday3. Until this closure date, the Hinesburg and Lyndon DRCs will operate from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Flood victims can still register for assistance online through DisasterAssistance.

Starting on Sunday, Nov. 17, Disaster Recovery Centers in South Carolina will no longer be open on Sundays. There’s no reason why given. We saw the agency change the times when the centers would be open on their website. This includes the Orangeburg YMCA and Aiken Technical College for our area.
