An update to one of the best PS3 emulators means that you can now play Demon's Souls in 4K and 30 fps on PC. The RPCS3 emulator has just received a huge performance boost.

PlayStation has revealed via its website that Demon's Souls on PS5 will give you the option to play in either 4K mode, or High Frame Rate mode aimed at making the game feel as smooth as possible.

Players can choose between two graphics modes while playing Demon’s Souls: 4K Mode (play in 4K resolution 2) and High Frame Rate Mode (play with a higher targeted frame rate.) ...

Demon's Souls will feature various filters and, as you know, the option to switch between performance mode and high visuals.

Souls-Borne fans rejoice, as Demon's Souls gets a 4K upgrade in time for the PlayStation 5 release from Bandai Namco and Sony.

Last year, Demon's Souls was considered "playable" on PC courtesy of the RPCS3 PS3 emulator. Now, From Software and Hidetaka Miyazaki's original nightmarescape looks great in 4K and 30 fps.

Additionally, Demon’s Souls will offer Performance mode, which runs at 60 FPS - “That’s a crisp 60, so it doesn’t drop,” Moore explained - with dynamic 4K resolution.

Demon's Souls was originally released for the PlayStation 3 and remade from the ground up for the PlayStation 5.
