MUNICH (AP) — Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic has undergone surgery after breaking his collarbone in Saturday's 4-0 win over Stuttgart, the club said Sunday.

It seemed like an innocent collision. The game between Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart (4-0) was just a few minutes old when Aleksandar Pavlovic fell awkwardly on his shoulder. Then in the eighth minute, the Bayern Munich midfielder had to be taken off in what looked like a serious shoulder injury.

Bayern Munich and Germany midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic has undergone surgery on a broken collarbone, the Bundesliga leaders said on Sunday. Pavlovic suffered the injury when he fell on his right shoulder five minutes into Saturday's 4-0 victory over VfB Stuttgart and was replaced by João Palhinha.

As was feared, Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlović will sit out the rest of 2024 according to a report from Sky Sport (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). While FCBayern.com referenced that Pavlović would have to miss “the coming weeks” on Saturday after the injury,
