Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier launched what he called a “now-active criminal investigation” into influencers Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate.

Florida’s attorney general says his office has opened a criminal investigation into Andrew and Tristan Tate, who are charged with human trafficking in Romania.

Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate, the British American online influencers, arrived in Florida on Thursday morning after a Romanian court ruled they could leave the country, a development that raised questions about whether the Trump administration played a role in their sudden departure.

Following the Tates' arrival in Fort Lauderdale on Thursday, Gov. DeSantis said that the brothers were not welcome in Florida.

Andrew Tate went on to say that he has an American passport. He says the whole point of democracy is innocent until proven guilty. He said the same thing when he landed in South Florida last week. According to Andrew Tate, he and his brother must return to Romania near the end of the month.
