With shovels, snowblowers and snowplows, Minnesotans got to work Wednesday digging out from a major late-winter storm that walloped southern and eastern parts of the state with heavy snow, howling winds and blizzard conditions.
At MSP International Airport, 20 outgoing flights had been canceled and 56 delayed, while arrivals also saw 21 cancellations and an additional 31 delays as of 10:30 a.m. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) estimated departures experienced an average delay of 72 minutes because of accumulated snow and ice.
