Gayle King’s upcoming participation in the flight aboard a Blue Origin rocket ship owned by Jeff Bezos reportedly isn’t sitting well with newsroom staffers.

Blue Origin is targeting next Tuesday (Feb. 25) for its 10th space tourism mission, which will send six people to the final frontier. If all goes according to plan, Blue Origin 's suborbital New Shepard vehicle will lift off from the company's West Texas site on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. EST (1630 GMT; 9:30 a.m. local Texas time).

Blue Origin makes history with its first all women space flight, marking the first women-only crewed mission since 1963.

Performer Katy Perry is among the names joining the next Blue Origin space flight. Perry played dates on the Vans Warped Tour in 2008.
