Global stocks rose on Monday while the dollar slipped as talks began in London between the United States and China aimed at cooling a trade dispute between the world's two largest economies. The U.S. dollar was slightly up on Monday as investors awaited tariff related decisions from trade talks between the U.S. and China, expected to be held later in the day in London

The dollar today is slightly lower ahead of any news of progress in the US-China trade talks that are currently underway in London. Lower T-note yields today have also weakened the dollar's interest rate differentials.
