The suspect in the killing of UnitedHealthcare’s CEO is being returned to New York to face murder charges after agreeing to be extradited Thursday during a court appearance in Pennsylvania where he was arrested last week after five days on the run.

Luigi Mangione, the suspect charged with shooting to death a health insurance company chief executive on a Manhattan street, will be taken Thursday morning to hearings on related Pennsylvania criminal charges and efforts to extradite him to New York.

The New York Police Department will transport Luigi Mangione back to New York City from Pennsylvania Thursday, after the murder suspect waived his right to an extradition hearing.
